What Our Clients Say?
Pleasantville Hospice is a hospice care provider in Burbank, CA 91505. Hospice care is prescribed for critically ill individuals with a life expectancy of six months or less. The primary goal of this care is keeping patients as comfortable as possible throughout the end stages of life. These comfort measures include pain management and methods for minimizing disease-related symptoms. Hospice care can be provided in the home, hospital, long-term care facilities, or a stand-alone hospice house.
I am so pleased that a friend suggested Pleasantville Hospice when we were looking for a new hospice company. They supported & took care of my Dad for 4 months and my Mom for 2 months. They were attentive, communicated well, notified me when there were any type of changes, and had quality, caring people working for them. The specialists for wound care & podiatry were skilled & competent. Pleasantville staff were able to deal with a variety of personalities in the board & care home, as well. They listened and were aware of our needs & concerns. When I requested a chaplain from a specific religion, they easily found a person who was a great match. When I requested lab work to rule out a diagnosis that could cause fatigue & weakness, they had the blood work done & lab results within 2 days. As both of my parents passed away within two & a half days of each other, it was a tremendous comfort to have such caring & competent people to support us. The primary hospice MD was efficient and easy for the staff to reach when medication or other treatment orders needed to be changed quickly. The support and love I felt from this company is bigger than words can adequately express, especially at such a difficult time.
